Integration of Primitive Reflexes in the Healing of Developmental Trauma with Kathleen Love

Early developmental trauma can occur as early as the first months of pregnancy. If this occurs, primitive reflexes, critical for normal development, can be left unintegrated. Unintegrated, these can wreak havoc and can result in symptoms such learning difficulties, poor impulse control, anxiety, hyperactivity and so on. Utilizing protocols that build capacity, regulation and resilience in the system, will allow these primitive reflexes to begin to integrate. With integration, the system can begin the process of relinquishing the strategies it developed to survive, and the symptoms, as mentioned previously, begin to fade away.
