10: Rebecca Thompson Hitt: Creating a Healing Story Space for Parents

Parenting offers many challenges, and the challenges often begin even before pregnancy. This is a time of vulnerability for parents-to-be, and offers a unique opportunity for practitioners to support them with the skill sets they'll need as parents--such as listening supportively to all members of the family, including the newborn. You'll learn and be able to apply some of these basic skills with parents you may be working with now, and observe the powerful impact this can have on the whole family.

About Rebecca:

Rebecca holds a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, and studied attachment and trauma since 1997. She served as Co-Director of Education for APPPAH for four years, generously designing PPNE's virtual platform and quite a bit of its unique curriculum. She is also Executive Director of The Consciously Parenting Project, which she founded, and creates online resources for parents as well as consultation services.
