8: Kylea Taylor: Inner Ethics™ and Right Relationship

Inner Ethics™ and Right Relationship

We usually think of ethics as an external moral code we follow as professionals. The model of "The Ethics of Caring" is one we can use to examine our own motivations. Before, during, and after taking action with clients, we can look at whether our actions will avoid causing affliction and will instead contribute to the well being of ourselves and our clients. This is a practice that helps us discover, by compassionate self-reflection, our own inner ethical compass.
