About Kathy Kain:

Kathy Kain has been practicing and teaching bodywork and trauma recovery skills for over 37 years. She teaches in Europe, Australia, Canada, and throughout the U.S. She is a Senior Faculty member for the SE Trauma Institute, and was a senior trainer for 12 years in the Somatic Psychotherapy training program based in Sydney, Australia, which helped develop her expertise in the integration of touch into the practice of psychotherapy and trauma recovery, as well as in somatic approaches to working with developmental and complex trauma. Kathy has two new books being released in 2018: Nurturing Resilience; Helping Clients Move Forward from Developmental Trauma, co-authored with Stephen J. Terrell, PsyD, and The Tao of Trauma; East Meets West for Integrative Healing, co-authored with Alaine Duncan, M.Ac., L.Ac., Dipl.Ac.

About Stephen Terrell:

Stephen J. Terrell, PsyD, SEP, is a leading expert in the field of Developmental Trauma and Adoption. He is co-author of “Nurturing Resilience: Helping Clients Move Forward from Developmental Trauma—An Integrative Somatic Approach”. Founder of Austin Attachment and Counseling Center, Creator of Transforming The Experience-Based Brain which is a somatic approach to Developmental Trauma working from the reptilian brain and regulation to cognitive awareness and self regulation, Experiential Developmental Groups, and he is Co-Creator of Somatic Resilience and Regulation. Dr. Terrell continues to work directly with clients and professionals. His expertise takes him across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan. Terrell's studies in Somatic Experiencing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Play Therapy and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and other therapies has lead him to be keynote speaker at international adoption conferences and presenter for attachment and play therapy conferences. Dr. Terrell resides and practices in Austin, Texas with his two sons, Luke and John Michael.
