Lisa Elliott brings her coaching expertise in aerobatic movement and her understanding of the autonomic nervous system to "How the Physiology of Trauma Offers Hope for Healing and Social Justice" on Monday LIVE! In 2015, Lisa Elliott founded The Vagus Study Group, a Facebook forum, to facilitate the study of stress, trauma, and the role of the autonomic nervous system in physical and mental health, primarily under the umbrella of Polyvagal Theory and attachment theory. Holding prior degrees in political science and government, Lisa is close to completing a Master's in Counseling Psychology as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in mindfulness, trauma, and embodied psychology.

Lisa is also a movement coach and holistic life coach who founded Thrive in Seattle, Wash. to focus on the impact of posture and other lifestyle habits on health, well-being and athleticism. Her understanding of how to help bodies move optimally aids clients at all levels of health and fitness. She serves a community of highly qualified PT's, manual therapists, coaches, dancers, performers, strength trainers and natural movement trainers. Her work and research is based in the physical sciences and psychology, and informed by a lifetime of intensive personal exploration.
